I’m serious, though. I could not get through one page of my fucking tumblr dashboard without SOME mention of the Aurora shooting for days. The shooting at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek happened fucking YESTERDAY and my dash is fucking crickets. 

I am NOT trying to say that people I follow are insensitive assholes who are intentionally scrolling past/refusing to reblog news of the event. I follow a lot of awesome people who care about this shit. The problem is the severe lack of media coverage about the terrorist attack. The media just isn’t oversaturated with news of the Oak Creek temple shooting like it was with the Aurora shooting. If any of us want to know more about the attack, it isn’t immediately presented to us. We have to search for it all by our fucking selves. It isn’t emblazoned on front pages and the subject of countless news stories like the Aurora shooting was. Where the FUCK is all the coverage? Where is the public outcry? Where are the stories about the victims? Where are the pictures of the candlelight vigils and where are the relief efforts and where are the charity drives with public support? WHERE IS FUCKING ANYTHING? 

Oh, that’s right. US news doesn’t give a shit about dead brown people. Especially ones who aren’t Christian.
