Yeah, we don’t want kids to think about things critically, it might challenge their religious beliefs! Because it’s easier to tell kids that someone is constantly watching them to make sure they don’t do anything bad or else they’ll be burned for eternity once they die than answer questions about how that’s even logically possible.
It’s easier to tell kids that someone was able to build a giant boat for a pair of every single animal in the world and have them just accept it than have to explain how evolution works or what the incredibly unrealistic dimensions would need to be for a boat like that.
It’s easier to just tell kids to take the goddamn aspirin than explain how it inhibits a prostaglandin-producing enzyme in the body by filling its active sites before the pre-prostaglandins can.
It’s easier to kill a child’s curiosity and wonder for the world than have to explain uncomfortable topics to them that your magical belief system can’t or doesn’t explain.
